Our climate footprint
Measure, reduce, improve.
Understanding the impact of our activities is the first step towards reducing it. That is why we regularly measure the greenhouse gas emissions associated with Acqua dell’Elba’s operations, identifying the main sources of emissions and the areas where we can take action.
This measurement is part of a broader approach to managing and improving our environmental performance, supported by our ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System and by our work to quantify and verify emissions in accordance with ISO 14064-1. Based on the results of our emissions inventory, we define and implement reduction measures across a range of areas, including energy, materials, packaging, production processes, logistics and our value chain.
Our contribution to climate action
Alongside our measurement and reduction activities, each year we also allocate resources to supporting certified climate projects, through the purchase and retirement of carbon credits verified according to recognised standards. Carbon credits are a way of contributing to projects carried out outside Acqua dell’Elba’s own operations.
They do not replace reductions in our own emissions and do not alter the climate footprint of our products. For this reason, year by year, we make information available on our measured emissions, the carbon credits we purchase and retire, the projects we support and the certification standards applied.
Our aim is to continue along a path of measurement, reduction and continuous improvement, making our climate action increasingly robust and transparent over time. In 2025, Acqua dell’Elba continued along this path by measuring its emissions and supporting certified climate projects through the retirement of carbon credits corresponding to the emissions reported.
