Green Week by Acqua dell’Elba is back from 24 to 28 November 2025. A whole week dedicated to sustainability in its three key forms—environmental, economic and social—that each year brings institutions, schools, associations, and citizens together to focus on a single objective: building a more harmonious future for our island and the sea around it.
Monday 24 November—HQ— Val di Cappone, Marciana Marina
11.00 am-1.00 pm
The first appointment in Green Week 2025 will be held at Acqua dell’Elba HQ for staff, the press, and company stakeholders.
This meeting will see presentation of results achieved by the company with activities carried out in 2025 in nine “sustainable areas”: four for the Benefit Corporation and five for the Fondazione Acqua dell’Elba.
This will be followed by focus on the “Elba 2035” project and the signatories of the Island of Elba Sustainability Manifesto, signed in 2021, will be invited to share their experiences, updates and new undertakings since they joined.
Particular attention will be dedicated to the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, one of the Manifesto’s most active signatories.
Bringing the morning’s work to a close will be Claudio della Lucia, Manager of the CER (Elba’s renewable energy community), with presentation of the project’s progress and future prospects.
Tuesday 25 November—Via dell’Essenza
11.00 am-1.00 pm
This second appointment will be entirely dedicated to the “Via dell’Essenza” project, on one of the stretches along this route. This event is for Acqua dell’Elba employees, citizens and members of the press and social media.
During the walk, the official “Via dell’Essenza” logo, passport and stamps will be presented, together with the ways to involve Acqua dell’Elba sales points as stages for hikers.
Wednesday 26 November—School and education against fake news
9.00 am-3.30 pm
As per tradition, the third day will be dedicated to collaboration with schools and universities.
Morning (9.00 am-1.00 pm)
The ITCG Cerboni and ISIS Foresi high schools in Portoferraio will host the book donation ceremony as part of the Fondazione Acqua dell’Elba “Book Project”. This will be followed by start up of Project Work 2026, developed in collaboration with the Università IULM in Milan.
The topic chosen for this year is “Fake News”, the aim being to help students recognise, understand, and combat disinformation, developing critical thinking and communication skills.
Afternoon (2.30-3.30 pm)
Company HQ will host a ceremony with donation of books to the Acqua dell’Elba library, followed by a lesson on this year’s topic, which all employees are invited to attend.
Thursday 27 November—Health and solidarity
3.00 pm—Diversamente Sani HQ + 3.30 pm yellow EndoElba bench + 4.00 pm store in Piazza Cavour, Portoferraio
The fourth appointment in Green Week 2025 will be dedicated to practical support for the island’s charities.
A ceremony will be held during the afternoon with donation of 1,000 euros each to the associations Diversamente Sani and EndoElba, to support their prevention and awareness activities.
The event will be followed by presentation to the press of the new Fondazione Acqua dell’Elba “Call for Proposals”, which in 2026 will support projects for inclusion, health, and wellbeing set up by local associations.
Friday 28 November—Blue Schools and SEIF 2026
11.00 am
The week will end with an event dedicated to the European Blue Schools network, which sees the Island of Elba a leader in Italy.
This event has been conceived as our “Blue Friday”, following on from the editions in Venice in past years, and will also see presentation of the 2026 SEIF topic, with focus on the third day of the festival for schools and educational projects linked to the sea.
