To mark World Oceans Day, Acqua dell'Elba is launching a limited edition: the new Artist’s Room Diffuser, created in collaboration with Cristina Sammarco.
Acqua dell'Elba: the sea as our guide, inspiration and passion
8th June is World Oceans Day, which is an important occasion to celebrate the beauty of the sea and oceans, and most importantly, to raise public awareness about the importance of protecting them. This year, to mark the occasion, Acqua dell'Elba is launching a limited edition of its iconic Mare home fragrance: the "Artist’s Room Diffuser", created in collaboration with the artist Cristina Sammarco. The net proceeds from this initiative will be donated to the Acqua dell'Elba Foundation, which is committed to supporting projects dedicated to the environment, art, culture, health and education. More information about the Foundation can be found on the website www.fondazioneacquadellelba.org.
The new Artist’s Room Diffuser
The limited edition of the 2023 Artist’s Room Diffuser is a customisation of our most iconic home fragrance, Mare, and features a silk-screened sandpaper collage from the "Mediterranean" series by Cristina Sammarco.
The collages by Cristina Sammarco are a material distillation of the sea, filtered through sensations. The place of inspiration is Elba Island, which the artist brings to life in the multiplicity of its colours.
The art critic Roberto Borghi describes the sea represented in this way by Cristina Sammarco as “a filter, a sphere capable of distilling states of grace, which allows life to reach its zenith.”
A splendid message that in turn becomes our gift to the sea: the net revenue from the operation will in fact go to sustaining the projects of the Acqua dell’Elba Foundation.
