Eau de Parfum Napoleone Bonaparte: Acqua dell’Elba Remembers the Emperor

The fifth of May is the date one of the greatest emperors of history died: Napoleon Bonaparte. Isola d’Elba was one of the settings for his exploits: he was exiled here in 1814, managing in just ten months to unify for the first time an island which had always been divided up to that moment.

This year, on the occasion of the bi-centenary of his death, there were many celebrations organised all over the world in his honour. Acqua dell’Elba also chose to pay him homage, creating the Eau de Parfum “Napoleone Bonaparte”.

A story recounted through head notes of Lemon, Cedar, Myrtle and Rosemary; core notes of Marine Algae, Lavender and Juniper; base notes of Cypress wood, Lentiscus and Oak moss. The male version of the perfume is accompanied by the Eau de Parfum Paolina Bonaparte for women. Inspired by the extrovert, eccentric character of the emperor’s sister, this Eau de Parfum consists of a feminine bouquet which is citrussy, marine, floral and woody at the same time, with notes of Lemon, Orange, Mint, Basil, Sea Lily, Juniper, Geranium, Cedarwood and Strawberry tree.

The bottles of the two perfumes are decorated with two artworks depicting the subjects of the inspiration over an aquamarine background, created by the late artist Silvano “Nano” Campeggi, the most important billboard illustrator in the history of cinema, as well as a great enthusiast of the emperor’s history, so much so that he was known to devote many of his efforts and studies towards this passion.
