You know a father by his words, his gestures, his scent.

Father's Day is celebrated on 19th March in Italy and in many other countries around the world. It is often hastily celebrated in the midst of a thousand daily commitments, but this year it is truly different.

Over the past months, many dads have had to work from home, making the bond between them and their children even closer. Therefore, we have decided to give this celebration more prominence by suggesting some themed gift ideas.

MOISTURISING AFTERSHAVE CREAM: THE IMPORTANCE OF DAILY GESTURES
The first gift idea is a timeless classic: the Aftershave Cream, a daily ritual that has always fascinated boys and girls all over the world, who can learn the importance of taking care of themselves by watching their fathers shave.
Just like all Acqua dell'Elba moisturising creams, the Aftershave has a light formulation which, thanks to its gentle soothing action, absorbs very quickly and helps to calm redness and irritation of the skin.
Each men's fragrance in our catalogue has its own aftershave cream, but for Father's Day we would like to suggest Arcipelago.

ARCIPELAGO FOR MEN: A FATHER YOU KNOW BY HIS SCENT
The perfume we suggest as a Father's Day gift has a name evoking multiplicity, a complex geography of different islands forming a unique identity.
Thus, in the bouquet of Arcipelago, the aromatic notes of sage, pepper and rosemary are mixed with the floral and tender notes of lily-of-the-valley and jasmine and complemented by the woods of Mediterranean shrubs, cedarwood and cypress.
A fragrance reflecting familiarity, tenderness and security, all qualities that a father tries to bring together in order to set an example for his children.

RACCONTI DI MARE: THE WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT.
Pino Cacucci, Stefano D'Andrea, Alessandra Fagioli, Mauro Ferraresi… The book "Racconti di Mare" (Tales of the Sea) is an epic story made up of a number of voices.Acqua dell'Elba strongly supported this project to celebrate a place that is at the same time physical, literary and of the soul: the sea. We suggest this book as a third Father's Day gift. It contains a story that describes well the relationship between a father and a son. It is entitled "Così aiuti la tempesta", written by Paolo Domenico Malvinni, and inspired by Shakespeare's play. This tale describes a difficult crossing between Italy and Morocco, with a strong storm shaking the ship on which there is only a father and his teenage son. In the midst of this difficulty, the father finds himself uttering a thought that we believe could be a very strong and poetic greeting card: "This takes endurance. This takes patience. The son will help the father, and the father will help the son. Everyone has to get involved. You have to sail slowly, dangerously, continuously."
