THIS CHRISTMAS DANCES TO ITS OWN TUNE.
Somehow this does not feel like the right time for “Jingle Bells”, “Dreaming of a White Christmas” and “Winter Wonderland”: this year, Christmas truly dances to its own tune. So, even our traditional Acqua dell’Elba playlist for the festivities has taken another twist as well. Already from its title, we decided to dedicate the playlist to all those people who know how to travel even without moving: by listening to a song, of course, or also by letting themselves be transported by the sensations conveyed by a perfume.
Thus, let’s begin our trip on board a supercar with a classic from Jamiroquai, the song “Travelling Without Moving” which lends its name to the entire playlist, and throughout the entire duration let’s keep gliding from one track to the other, with the grace we all need so much right now: we shall visit young bands such as the Monophonics, reminiscent of the Britannic Blue Eyed Soul atmospheres, as well as great classics such as jazzman Lee Morgan, and mysterious characters like Pam Amsterdam who was able to evolve his sound from jazz to underground hip-hop, thus creating truly suggestive and inebriating melodies.
Destination? Australia, homeland of the Avalanches, who for example like to remind us that music can uplift us all (“Music Makes Me High” is a song of theirs that we chose), or Mildlife’s Canada, where you can breathe in some “Rare Air”, a blend of electronic music and ambient atmospheres meeting some pleasant dancing atmospheres, until we reach Benny Sings’ Netherlands, with his falsetto reminding us of the sophisticated notes played by Michael Franks in his “Sunny Afternoon”.
Indeed, the mood of a sunny afternoon is the ideal one to dream for, lulled by the notes of these songs, perhaps following a “Rainbow Road” such as the one opened by Dan Kye, the DJ and producer from New Zealand who will make you dance even during New Year’s Eve with his re-evocation of the immortal Weather Report’s fusion atmospheres. So, you can dance at home, even just among yourselves, but with style!
Please enjoy the festivities with our music, you can find the complete playlist on Spotify.
