ACQUA DELL'ELBA AMONG THE TOP 100 ENTERPRISES FOR SUSTAINABILITY
Whilst we were busy organising the workloads for the drafting of the ELBA2035 manifesto taking place on the 10th of December, Acqua dell’Elba had the pleasant surprise of being placed by Forbes Italia among the top 100 Italian companies showing outstanding commitment to the cause of corporate responsibility.
The list comprises entities operating in the most disparate fields, which at the same time all share, as the director Alessandro Rossi writes, ‘the bravery and resourcefulness of operating in this direction with concreteness and continuity.’
To complete the introduction to the supplement dedicated to this theme, Enzo Argante, Responsibility Editor of the magazine (as well as our own moderator at the event organised during the week of sustainability), illustrates how these enterprises ‘have assumed, in the name of efficiency and resourcefulness, a guiding role even in the social sphere and in the defence of civil values’.
In the profile dedicated to Acqua dell’Elba, Forbes Italia then proceeds to highlight how sustainability has always represented a distinctive feature of our own enterprise, expressed through values such as the simplicity of everyday gestures, the development of human relationships and symbiosis with the surrounding environment and local communities.
Indeed, these are all values which are at the basis of the approach we began to follow in 2019 with ELBA2035, a project which involves all of Isola d’Elba’s stakeholders plotting a course together for the sustainable development of the island, as inspired by the objectives outlined in Agenda2030.
