SMERALDO: THE TREASURE OF PIANOSA

During the past few weeks, we were busy producing the shots you may currently see on our social channels, associating our perfumes with certain specific localities on Isola d’Elba which most reflect their colours, atmospheres and olfactive sensations transported by the summer breeze…

To enhance the transparencies of the Smeraldo Eau de Parfum, for example, we chose the island of Pianosa, an authentic shrine to the sea which has been protected for more than a century and is only open to a limited number of visitors each year.

In order to create these wonderful shots underlining the natural appeal of this feminine Eau de Parfum by combining it with suggestive views of this marvellous island, the crew led by photographer Nedo Baglioni was accompanied, step by step, by a member of the ecological park wardens.

This was the only way to gain access to the silent world of an abandoned maximum-security jail, to reach corners from which breath-taking views were available, to descend towards the wealth of rocks embedded with colours appearing as precious gems, to breathe in the wind moving the waves of a sea nobody can reach.

The same wind conveyed the scent of air and water that is also enclosed within the bouquet at the heart of Smeraldo, constituted by the floral notes of gardenia, magnolia, marine rockrose and geranium, enhanced by hints of citrus fruits such as citron, tangerine, lemon and bergamot overlaying the woody nuances of lentiscus, juniper and boxwood.

A complexity worthy of the sensations which have accompanied our crew from dawn to dusk as they were creating the shots previewed in this gallery, and which we will continue to publish on our channels together with the other enchanted landscapes our territory is able to offer to people who love the sea and nature.
