LET’S SPEND THE WHOLE SUMMER TOGETHER
Seeing tourists return to populate the beaches and town alleys of our island with their joyous buzz makes us extremely happy: the restart of normality needs beauty, culture, and exchanges indeed. So, as always, Acqua dell’Elba is proud to support people who organise the sort of event which contributes to make our island a better place.
Events such as we at Acqua dell’Elba also enjoy organising ourselves, for example the instant classic “Perfumer For a Day”: just like last year, even in 2020 every Friday of the upcoming month of August, from 10:00 to 11:00, the members of our Community will be able to visit our laboratory in Marciana Marina to create their personal perfume. To book this opportunity*, you will need to contact us within 17:00 of the previous Thursday, either by email at laboratorioviamoro@acquadellelba.it (including socialmedia@acquadellelba.it in CC), or by calling the number (0039) 0565 1792341.
Other opportunities to spend time together will be provided by the “Passeggiate dei Profumi” (“Fragrance Walks”), taking place around Marciana Marina as well as along the pathways of “La Via dell’Essenza” (“Essence Street”), the trailway winding through seaside and Mediterranean Maquis which Acqua dell’Elba maintains in collaboration with the environmental association Legambiente. Indeed, these excursions are organised by Legambiente Arcipelago Toscano with the support of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, of Acqua dell’Elba and of the local citizens’ association in Marciana Marina: starting from Sunday 12 July (booking required by email at legambientearcipelagotoscano@gmail.com or by telephone 0039 339 8801478), there will be other dates available for excursions, both in the morning as well as at 18:00, every Sunday of July and August – keep following our social channels to stay updated.
Among the cultural events sponsored by Acqua dell’Elba, another highlight is the special 2021 edition of the Magnetic Opera Festival: this year’s open-air opera festival chose as its backdrop the spectacular Torre della Linguella in Portoferraio, a fortress built in 1550 directly on the sea cliffs, as well as the town square of Porto Azzurro, directly facing the sea. These fascinating locations are animated by a series of truly interesting recitals and concerts: first came those by the Italian Harmonists, followed by an “a cappella” performance by some members of the choir of the La Scala Theatre in Milan, as well as a performance by the crooner Matteo Brancaleoni. All of this year’s festival appointments will have free entry: you can find the full calendar on the website of the Maggyart association, which is the organiser of the festival itself.
Confirmation of further cultural and sporting events is still pending: keep following us to find out more, and transform your vacation on Isola d’Elba into an even more valuable, unforgettable experience!
