THE ESSENCE OF SPRING: THE FLOWERS CONTAINED IN ACQUA DELL’ELBA’S BOUQUETS.

Nothing represents and announces to the world the start of the beautiful season as much as flowers: they truly are the essence of spring. This is why Acqua dell’Elba chose to infuse the bouquets of its fragrances with floral notes that reaffirm all of the fascination provoked by the season in which nature reawakens.

THE ESSENCE OF SPRING: A TREASURE WORTHY OF RESPECT.

If we had to choose one flower, only one, to represent the lushness of the plants flowering on Isola d’Elba, that would surely have to be the sea lily. Even if this flower blooms during warm summer days, the Pancratium Maritimum which dots sandy coves with its delicate scent is a concrete example of the way Acqua dell’Elba works in harmony with nature. Unable to pick its flowers because of their rarity, perfumer artisans recreated its essence through a patient process of research and selection of natural notes which closely resembled its scent. The result can be appreciated, for example, in the bouquet of Blu Donna.

THE ESSENCE OF SPRING: CELEBRATING EPHEMEREAL BEAUTY.

The thousand flowers of the Mediterranean Maquis truly lead short lives indeed: they dominate the landscape starting from the end of winter, but are soon gone with the first, intense heatwaves of the summer season. Acqua dell’Elba accepted the challenge to make their scents live on continuously, by partnering them with those of woods, which are potently released under the July and August sun. It is precisely the case of the myrtle flowers, the scent of which is part of the bouquet of the Women’s Classica fragrance.

THE ESSENCE OF SPRING: AN HOMAGE TO SEDUCTION.

The connection between flowers and women has always been extremely strong: in Mediterranean cultures, from Babylonians to Ancient Greeks, their five petals have often represented the seductive and fertile powers of goddesses like Aphrodite or Ishtar. It is not a coincidence that notes of their scent may be found, for example, in a product such as Acqua. Created for him and for her, in this fragrance the feminine scent of jasmine is completed by the masculine scent of cedarwood, harmonising in a seductively complex bouquet.

Flowers also have deeply symbolic meanings, but we will talk more of these in a forthcoming series of articles in which we will tell you about the secrets of the flowers contained in Acqua dell’Elba’s bouquets.
