If, on the one hand, it is true that perfume is capable of vividly recalling to mind even the remotest of memories, on the other hand, it is also true that technology may help people live in a very concrete and real way all of the emotions connected to the most engaging experiences.This was our inspiration for the creation of the new “Acqua dell’Elba” APP, now available for download on the Android and IOS stores.
‘With the launch of the new APP’, explains Norman Larocca, Marketing Director of Acqua dell’Elba, ‘we have opened a new channel through which we can communicate with all enthusiasts of our brand who feel bound to the values it represents, such as authenticity, connection to local territory and respect of its sea, as well as, especially, the fragrances it produces in full respect of the artisanal Tuscan perfumery tradition.’
Indeed, it is through a suggestive re-enactment of this artisanal nature that the user experience of the APP commences: in the section AUGMENTED REALITY, by framing the logo of the brand with the camera of your cell phone (wherever it may be: on packaging, inside shop windows, on an advertisement…) you will be transported to a poetical world.
A world which replicates the beaches of Isola d’Elba, the vegetation filling its air with fragrances, the process through which these are encapsulated in products of artisanal quality: all of this takes life through the delicate hand of Cristina Sammarco, the artist who has been responsible for the shop windows of our flagship stores since 2014. ‘It was a new experience for me’, declared Cristina, ‘an occasion to work entirely through digital media: indeed, all of my drawings were generated on iPad. To follow the animation process was a privilege as well as an acceleration towards new frontiers, still to be fully discovered’.
Acqua dell’Elba’s new APP is full of new things to be discovered, starting from the EVENTS section detailing all of the entertainment opportunities available on the island during the vacations: concerts, beach parties, literary awards and sporting events sponsored by the brand as well as the available dates for “Perfumer for a Day”, allowing members of our Community to experience the emotion of creating an Acqua dell’Elba fragrance with their own hands.
Next to this section you will find the MAP. Using geolocation, it will allow you to find the closest Acqua dell’Elba store, from the flagship stores on the island itself, to those we have in the main artistic/touristic cities of Italy.
